Penetrating Damp occurs when water enters a property through defects in the external structure rather than rising from the ground. It can affect walls at any level and is commonly caused by issues such as damaged brickwork, failed render or pointing, leaking gutters or downpipes, roof defects, or failed seals around windows and doors.
